First Barefoot Run for 2011

After work around 5:15pm, I ran 4.8 miles barefoot, it was about 28 degrees.   It was completely dark but I am used to running in the dark barefoot.  Lots of snow on the ground still, but the roads were very dry, a few ice patches but nothing major.

I have to say this was a great run, my feet reacted very nicely to the cold. I really didn’t experience any numbness,15 or 20 more minutes out there I know I would start to go numb.  I feel very much more in-tune with my thresholds.  I am being really cautious this winter,  I don’t want a repeat of what happened last winter.

Olivia's first go at soccer. When you work right next door to a Crossfit gym, what else to do on break? Happy Easter! Spring running, goodbye winter gear. Just me and my girl. 7.1 mile barefoot run. Time: 103. Pace: 8.57. A little fishing with the boys. Can't stay inside forever on this cold, rainy spring day.
#runbarefootintherain Heading home during my run and I see this guy standing in the middle of the road with a tripod and camera. This was about as random as you can get. Having fun on my nephews drum kit.
