Luna Sandals

I got myself a sweet pair of Luna Sandals.   I got the original luna’s with the 5/8″equus elastic leather laces.    Thank you Barefoot Ted, and Luna crew.

  1. Love my haraches too. I am an experimentalist/minimalist runner. Been running in my VFFs for around 6 months and do most of my treadmill winter runs barefoot. I am excited to jump out on the streets. Your blog has inspired me to get my butt out of bed and hit it — and I thought I was a tough triathlete — time to free my feet more and more. Thanks — love the picture of your son running barefoot, very cool!

    • Hi Dave,

Glad to give some inspiration! You are a triathlete, that is tough enough! I am amazed by that sport. I did a very mini triathlon years ago, the swimming just killed me. I have tons of respect for that sport. Anyways, you will really enjoy being outside running barefoot.

      • Long run in VFFs on Trumbull trails. Still too covered. Had to hit a nearby park. Great to be outside. Keep those barefoot blogs going. I think I will try a mix tomorrow. Any advise for all the sand?

      • Sounds like a great run, where in trumbull? I am looking to start some trail running this spring/summer. I used to mountain bike long time ago in trumbull, I think it was called Indian ledge?

  2. I think it has a couple of names. Used to hit one of the trial heads on Tait rooad in Trumbull off route 127. Mix of runners and mountain bikers. Love it because you can do acreally long run on an out and back.

Ran the Fairfield CT half marathon this morning. Came in with a time off 1:50:12. This was my 8th consecutive year running this race, and barefoot. My training was super light. Maybe 12-15 miles per week with no speed training, or fancy workouts, all runs were slow. I started lifting weights again, and noticed a big difference with running. The weight training is what pulled me through. The best snack/protein bar out there. Definitely no BS.
@rxbar Great Father's Day hanging at the beach. Off to Andrew's 5th grade graduation. Next stop Middle School! Showing my daughter the ropes, but kids don't need any lessons running barefoot, we are born to do it properly.

Street Art. Friday evening at the beach. My little sweetie is growing up. We were stuck in traffic and I snapped a quick picture of her and it's crazy to notice the changes of your children at certain points.
