Just ran 7 barefoot miles in the rain at my lunch break, this was the third barefoot run in the rain this week.
And I realized barefoot running in the rain is not only fun, but essential for improving skills, not matter how much experience you have. I actually don’t like when it’s dry for a long period of time. It’s like running on smooth concrete for long period of time, what fun is that. You need to challenge yourself once in a while running barefoot.
At this stage of barefoot running at times I do push off, or “toe off” when it’s dry without any complications. But when it rains or running in wet conditions, I need to go back to the basic blue print of emphasizing the foot lift.
