Fairfield, CT Half Marathon – June 26, 2011

This was my 3rd consecutive year running this half marathon,  second time running it barefoot.  One of my favorite races to run, it was a beautiful day, all sun, and 80 degrees at start time.   My time was 1:47:41, I beat my time from last year.     I apologize for the small action photos,  too cheap to buy them.

  3. Nice job man! I ran that half-marathon the past two years and must have saw you there last year if you were barefoot. I ran in my Vibrams last year. I love that course, but this year it just didn’t fit into my marathon training so I had to take a pass. Next year I should be back out there though!

#mysweetie So intense. Power and strength to the max. Who says dinosaurs don’t exist. Sunday morning 3 mile barefoot run. Blowing the dust off the skins. I like to incorporate deadlifts with my back workout. This was my last set of 240lbs for 6 reps. Seeking that 300lb mark down the road.

It’s starting to warmup in the garage, 25 degrees this morning. “I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” MLK 🔥
