5 Mile Trail Run – Vibram Komodosport LS

I was looking for an all around cross-fit/activity shoe, and I found it, Vibram Komodosport LS’s.   I bought my first pair of Vibrams three years ago and I am still a bit fan of Vibrams.  With the mass production of minimal footwear, there is allot to of options, some gimmicky and most just are not functional.  Vibrams, to me, are still the #1 minimal footwear out there.   Anyways….

I took them out on a 5 mile trail run, it was pouring rain, ankle deep mud pits and puddles, wet rocks with leaves.  I was very pleased how they handled.   I didn’t feel any weight difference when they got soaking wet,  it was 48 degrees and my feet were very warm, I didn’t wear socks and will never wear socks with the Komodosports, they have a seamless inside.   I look forward taking them out for a snow run, when we get snow.

  1. These are my everyday shoes…. we were supposed to only have a high of 40. I was outside all afternoon with no issues, and I wasn’t even running! I bet these would be good on trails, for sure.

First snow of the season. My son and I at the finish of the 5 mile Turkey Trot Rusty as a bag of nails, but it’s a good outlet. 5 mile Turkey Trot tradition. 20+ years running this race with my sister. My son made his debut today, fantastic job! Deadlifts. This was my last set of 225lbs, a new PR.

Had my son Andrew @parkor_boy23 filming and working out with me as well. Finally Optimal Nutrition comes out with a plant based protein. Most protein powder has a lot of garbage in it, artificial flavors, gluten, dextrin, soy etc. which I try to avoid. I’m not a Vegan/Vegetarian but like a clean supplement. The taste is spot on. Not grainy or “earthy” tasting. Very happy with this.
#optimumnutrition First cold barefoot run of the season. 25F and the sun was shining, felt good.

I don’t have heat In my garage it was a crisp 32 degrees, but don’t mind. Some benefits of having a home gym is no travel time, no people, and you can wear your comfies.
This was my last set of benching at 170lbs Fall fun.
