Scripture as a Mantra

For times when I need to dig down deep and find that mental boost, or when I feel my energy is low and I need a renewal of strength, I find this passage from Isaiah 40:31 to be a perfect mental charge.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

  1. YES!

One of my life verses: Isaiah 50:7 –
“7 Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.” (NIV)

The imagery of a “face like flint” is so powerful. The fact that it’s part of the prophecy of Christ makes it even more potent. Hard core!

  3. I often turn to Romans 5:3 – 4 –

“3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,”

My sweetie is proud of her snowman she made, or I should say Sammy as the name she gave him. Family skate day. My mom at a young 70 lacing up the skates! My favorite girl.
#mysweetie So intense. Power and strength to the max. Who says dinosaurs don’t exist. Sunday morning 3 mile barefoot run. Blowing the dust off the skins. I like to incorporate deadlifts with my back workout. This was my last set of 240lbs for 6 reps. Seeking that 300lb mark down the road.

It’s starting to warmup in the garage, 25 degrees this morning. “I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” MLK 🔥
