First Day of Spring 2012

Yes, this is March in Connecticut and this was my run this morning.  It reached 74 degrees today.  We basically didn’t have a winter, but no complaining here!   I love spring and especially summer, I could careless about winter and the cold.   Nothing else really exciting to say, just have been somewhat training for the 50k in May, and trying to land a job as well.    Happy Spring!

  1. Hey Jason,
I know you prefer to run barefoot, but if you had to give someone who has been running in VFF Bikila’s for the past 2 years advice on which shoe to purchase next, would you recommend the Merrell Road Glove, VFF Seeya, or New Balance MR00? I run about 25-30 miles a week on the road.

  2. Oh no! You are just as pale as the last time you posted a shirtless pic of yourself…. Good luck on the job hunt. I hear there are lots of jobs in Texas, and unfortunately, that is how I ended up here.

  3. Hello there. Very cool pic and post. I started running barefoot in Sept 2008 and have not run in shoes since that time. It’s the only way to run. I have done several 5k’s and I have entered the lottery for my first 10k (Peachtree Road Race). I hope I get in.

I am sorry to hear about your job situation. I hope you’ll be able to find something soon. Good luck with your training.

    Stay bare!

Ran the Fairfield CT half marathon this morning. Came in with a time off 1:50:12. This was my 8th consecutive year running this race, and barefoot. My training was super light. Maybe 12-15 miles per week with no speed training, or fancy workouts, all runs were slow. I started lifting weights again, and noticed a big difference with running. The weight training is what pulled me through. The best snack/protein bar out there. Definitely no BS.
@rxbar Great Father's Day hanging at the beach. Off to Andrew's 5th grade graduation. Next stop Middle School! Showing my daughter the ropes, but kids don't need any lessons running barefoot, we are born to do it properly.

Street Art. Friday evening at the beach. My little sweetie is growing up. We were stuck in traffic and I snapped a quick picture of her and it's crazy to notice the changes of your children at certain points.
