I ran 3 hours barefoot this morning, for 17 miles, I was hoping for 20 but was just dead tired. I woke up at 5:15am, and was on the road right at 5:30, got home in time to get to my son’s t-ball practice and game. Thanks to my wife Erika for waking up early and getting the kids ready for practice.
I didn’t eat before this run and did feel the lack of energy, I brought two GU’s with me, and munched on a cliff bar here and there, but I got it done. A cool thing is I passed the 2000 mile marker for barefoot miles only. (I don’t record minimal shoe miles). This was my last long run, I will do a two week taper, then ready, or hope to be ready to run the 50k on May 27th.
